Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Neighbourly Games AB ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you play our mobile games on iOS and Android (each a "Game", together the "Games"). The Games covered by this policy, and the services each one uses, are listed in Appendix A at the bottom of this page.

We make games – we are not in the business of collecting data. We only process what is needed to run our Games, show ads, fix crashes and, where you allow it, understand how our Games are played.

1. Who We Are

Neighbourly Games AB
Vretensborgsvägen 19

Email: info@neighbourlygames.com

We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. Summary

Not every Game uses every service below – see Appendix A for details per Game.

- Advertising (Google AdMob): to fund our free Games. Personalized ads are only shown with your consent where required by law.
- Gameplay statistics (Google Firebase Analytics): to understand and improve our Games. Disabled by default and only enabled after your consent where required by law.
- Crash reporting (Google Firebase Crashlytics): to find and fix bugs, when a Game crashes or encounters an error.
- Online features such as leaderboards (Google Firebase): to provide features you choose to use.
- In-app purchases (Apple / Google): to deliver items you purchase.

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, precise location, photos, contacts, or any other directly identifying information in our Games. We do not sell your personal data for money.

3. Information We Process and Why

3.1 Advertising (Google AdMob)

Some Games show ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may process:

- Identifiers: the advertising ID on Android (GAID), and on iOS the IDFA only if you allow tracking
- Device information: device model, operating system and version, language, screen size
- Network information: IP address (which may indicate approximate location)
- Ad interactions: impressions and clicks

Consent (EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland): Before personalized ads are shown, a consent message lets you accept, reject, or manage your choices for each purpose and partner. If you reject, you may still see non-personalized or limited ads.

iOS tracking: On iPhone and iPad, Apple asks whether you allow a Game to track you. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", your IDFA is not shared.

United States: Where state privacy laws give you the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising, our Games show a privacy message that lets you opt out.

Ads in our Games are limited to content suitable for the Game's age rating.

Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) for personalized advertising and for storing or accessing information on your device. Where permitted, legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in funding our Games through non-personalized ads.

3.2 Gameplay Statistics (Google Firebase Analytics)

Some Games use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how they are played – for example, how many play sessions there are and which levels are completed.

Statistics are disabled by default. We only enable them in the regions listed for each Game in Appendix A, and only after you have given consent in the Game's consent message.

When enabled, we may collect:

- Gameplay events: sessions, levels completed, ads watched, purchases
- Device and app information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, country
- A random app-installation ID generated by Firebase

This data is not linked to your name. We have disabled collection of advertising identifiers for analytics, and we do not use statistics for advertising.

Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

3.3 Crash Reporting (Google Firebase Crashlytics)

If a Game crashes or encounters an error, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a report containing technical details about the error (crash log, stack trace), device model, operating system version, app version, and a random installation identifier.

Legal basis: Our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in keeping our Games stable and secure.

3.4 Online Features (Leaderboards)

Some Games offer leaderboards. To use them, the Game creates an anonymous account with a random user ID (Google Firebase Authentication), and we store the following in Google Cloud Firestore:

- The display name you choose
- Your game results, such as your highest completed level
- The times your entry was created and updated

Your display name and results are visible to other players. Please do not use your real name or any other personal information as your display name.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) – providing the feature you choose to use.

3.5 In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive your payment card details – only confirmation of what you purchased so that we can deliver it.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

3.6 Data Stored Only on Your Device

Your game progress, settings, and privacy choices are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to us and are deleted when you uninstall the Game.

3.7 Legal Obligations

We may process or disclose data where required to comply with applicable law (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).

3.8 Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. If you consent to personalized advertising, Google and its advertising partners may create a profile based on your device and ad interactions to show you more relevant ads. You can withdraw this consent at any time as described in Section 7.

3.9 Is Providing Data Required?

You are not required to provide any personal data to play our Games. Without consent, you can still play, but you may see less relevant ads. If you do not use leaderboards, no leaderboard data is stored.

Unless otherwise stated in Appendix A, our Games are intended for players aged 13 and older and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If the age at which you can consent to online services in your country is higher than 13 (for example, up to 16 in some EU countries), please ask a parent or guardian before giving consent in a Game.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through one of our Games, please contact us at info@neighbourlygames.com and we will delete it.

We take reasonable measures to protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Our service providers use industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit and at rest, and access controls on databases.
